Is there a Wocket in your Pocket?

On Monday, a friend invited the kids and I to join them at the Clinton Library (free admission on President's Day!) to check out the new Dr. Suess exhibits. The kids could barely contain their excitement. Well, Madigan could barely contain Paxton, at least!
We did discover something very important. It turns out that the Cat in the Hat really DOES know a lot about that!
(If you don't know what I'm talking about, you must not have a kid between the ages of 1 and 8 that watches PBS Kids on weekday mornings. That's not necessarily a bad thing.)
There were statues and paintings from nearly all of Dr. Suess' stories. Madi really enjoyed it since we've read a bunch of them.
For those of you that know the story of Yertle the Turtle, you know that the mean turtle (Yertle) made the other turtles stand on top of each other so that he could be up higher. Finally, a little turtle at the bottom burps and they all fall down, including Yertle who lands in the mud. Paxton had another idea of how to knock the turtles down...
"I didn't do anything!"
And what Dr. Suess day would be complete without the Grinch?!
Thanks Joy for inviting us! We had a great time and loved getting our Dr. Suess fix in for a while!
