Last weekend, we packed up and headed to West Texas for a family reunion. As you can see, Paxton was ready to go before the rest of us had finished packing!
In preparation for our time out west, Paxton worked on his horse riding skills.
And Madi got all prettied up...
Yes she applied the lipstick herself. No, I didn't buy her red lipstick - GeeGee did. And if that wasn't enough, Gee Gee also got her some Hannah Montana flipflops and painted her toenails blue. You know, what every 3 year old girl needs. :)
Paxton's first priority when we got to West Texas was to try out the food. He thought it was pretty tasty.
Then he decided he had time for the cousins. These are actually my cousins kids, so I guess that makes them his 3rd cousins.
Madi and Paxton both enjoyed playing on the slide.
The best part of the trip was, of course, seeing my family. Paxton bonded with Great Granddad,
Uncle Gene, Sweet cousin Morgan,
Pa, Great Granddad, and Uncle Ken,
and Cousin Robby.
While Paxton was busy socializing, Madigan was busy showing Ted how the crafts should be done.
Out of the 9 cousins, just 4 of us were able to make it. Here's a picture of us with Granddad.
We also took some time for some family pictures. Me and Madigan...
The 3 generations of girls...
And a Bowsman family picture.
We had a great time seeing everyone. I'm not sure there's anything sweeter than watching my kids play with their grandparents and great grandparents. Such priceless moments.
