Halloween Extravaganza!

So Halloween weekend came and went. With it, we managed to cram in a visit from Aunt Kate, multiple photo shoots, pumpkin carving, a visit from GeeGee, Pa, Mema, and Papa, a birthday party, and some Trick or Treating. I'm exhausted. The kids are having withdrawals from all of the attention! I'll do my best to get LOTS and LOTS of pictures from the weekend posted soon, but tonight we'll start with the Halloween themed pics!

Impromptu Halloween Photo Shoot

Kate came prepared to take pictures of both kiddos for their birthday shoots (upcoming post), but we added a few bonus sessions in. On Friday, all 4 of the kiddos at the house had Halloween shirts on, so how could we resist?!
Paxton loved the pumpkin and especially the fact that I was letting him play with it with minimal adult supervision.
The older girls loved modeling and giggling. And Lindsey was content to just hang out and go with the flow!
All in all, a great time for everyone involved!

Pumpkin Carving

As always, I turned the pumpkin carving fun over to the creative one in our house.
This year, he had some help from his sister. I'd like to title this one, "No, you need to do it this way!" :)
As always, Ted and Madi had aimed high when deciding what to carve and decided on Captain, the Texas Rangers' mascot. Needless to say, I did not disagree!
It turned out FANTASTIC and made a great centerpiece for Paxton's World Series party (another upcoming post).
The Princess and The Frog

A few months ago I asked Madigan what she wanted to be for Halloween and she said "a princess". Not much of a surprise. Then I asked her what Paxton should be. She thought for a minute and then said "a frog!" I liked it, so we went with it...
Have you ever seen a cuter princess or frog? I didn't think so.
We were excited that GeeGee, Mema and Papa were able to celebrate Halloween with us this year.

We went Trunk or Treating at our church, where Madigan and Paxton racked up the candy. Sadly, Paxton can't eat all of the candy so Mommy and Daddy are having to help him. :)
Madigan loved the candy. But she enjoyed seeing her friends even more. Here she is with her (boy)friend, Garrett.

Paxton also met up with some of his buddies. He's actually been betrothed to this sweet Tinkerbell.

We had a great time and are still running on a sugar high 3 days later! Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
